ICx Technologies, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the development and integration of advanced sensor technologies for homeland security, force protection, and commercial applications. The Detection segment develops products, and conducts research and development in the areas of chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear, and explosives detection. The Surveillance segment provides products and services for perimeter security and area surveillance. It develops and manufactures mobile platforms for surveillance, assessment, and response. This segment offers various tactical platform products, including unmanned, self-powered, and integrated perimeter surveillance platforms; vehicle-mounted mobile integrated perimeter surveillance platforms; and manned surveillance and deterrence platforms. The Solutions segment integrates the companys technologies and products to provide single source solutions that address customers security and surveillance needs. This segment offers StarWatch software security operating systems, which aggregate inputs from dispersed sensors, detectors, portals, and imaging systems, as well as provide integrated networking, supervision, control, and critical data management; Cameleon video integration, and Cameleon Tactical command and control software networks that integrate and control analog and digital video cameras; and CohesionIF, a sensors integration framework. The company sells its products through its direct sales force, sales representatives, value added resellers, and system integrators to federal, state, and local government customers, as well as to the U.S. military, foreign militaries, and private sector businesses in the United States and internationally. ICx Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.
