AMERIGROUP offers its healthcare services through contracts with primary care physicians, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary providers. As of December 31, 2010, it provided an array of products to approximately 1,931,000 members in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and New Mexico. The company, formerly known as AMERICAID Community Care, was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
