The Cobra segment provides radar detection products, photo-enforcement and safety detection products, citizens band radios, power inverters, two-way radios, marine electronics, and wireless solutions and mobile app products, as well as mobile navigation products for professional drivers under the Cobra name. This segment sells its products directly to retailers, such as general merchandisers, mass marketers, consumer electronics specialty stores, warehouse clubs, television home-shopping and Internet retailers, direct-response merchandisers, home centers, specialty stores, and travel centers, as well as through wholesale distributors for travel centers, department stores and appliance dealers, independent wireless agents, and export and marine products. The PPL segment markets personal navigation devices under Snooper Truckmate and Snooper Ventura names; GPS-enabled speed camera location detectors under Snooper My Speed and Snooper 3 Zero names; outdoor leisure products; and a database of speed camera locations and other driving hazards, such as high-accident zones for driver safety under the AURA brand. It also provides E-Bike, a lightweight folding electric bike; WPT250M tracking device to monitor the location of boats, vehicles, pets, or individuals; and Snooper Lynx iPhone application that allows the user to share and receive the positions of mobile speed traps with other users. This segment markets its products through a network of retailers and distributors, as well as through its Website. The company was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
