In addition, the company offers network interface cards, software for industrial networks, and cord sets; and input/output connectors for industrial production equipment, including automated assembly equipment, conveyors and material handling equipment, packaging equipment, and pick-and-place robots. Further, the company offers high-speed copper and optical signal product lines, backplane connector systems, and power distribution products for use in networking equipment comprising routers and switches; connectors and custom integrated systems for diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in hospitals, including X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, and dialysis machines; products that support electronic applications for military use; and solid-state lighting products. Molex Incorporated sells its products directly to original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and distributors. The company was founded in 1938 and is based in Lisle, Illinois.
